One of the things that stands out to me about the human race in general regardless of race, gender, or creed is how rarely we are our true authentic self. I like to think of it from this perspective. We have the image we portray to the world; the image we see when we look in the mirror; and then who we actually are.
The funny part is that we were created in God's likeness & image. So why the big fuss anyway? Isn't that good enough? I'm not sure that I'll ever fully understand why we see flaws & blemishes when we look in the mirror but God sees beautiful creatures that were fearfully & wonderfully made. My hope with today's post ladies is that you will start to see yourself "beyond the mask". That you will start to embrace every aspect of both your inner & outer beauty. That you will walk in the skin that God gave you with boldness & confidence. Because there is so much more about who you are that the world needs to see.
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."
No you won't be perfect. There's absolutely no need to be. But you'll be everything that God envisioned when he created you. Going "beyond the mask" might require you to peel back alot of layers of falsehood. But that's okay. Isn't that what growth is all about? Too many layers of anything actually suffocates a thing, right? It's almost like you're walking around with dead weight on your shoulders trying to live up to the expectations of this world or even the mirror for that matter. You've got to get down to the nitty gritty of who you truly are in order for your light to shine. The distorted image you have of yourself that you attempt to hide behind that mask of yours is hindering you. It's actually preventing you from being the salt & the light of the world. So what do you say ladies? It's time we shake of the earth & add our light & flavor to the world!
Declare today in the mighty name of Jesus I am going BEYOND THE MASK
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
