I can assure you that if you're on God's team you are going to suffer. Your life in fact is a constant battle, no doubt about it. You are literally fighting the good fight of faith daily. But the question is whether or not you will be bitter or better in your battle? Your choice, your decision.
I'm quite sure that "better" looks better on you than bitter. Besides, bitterness & brokeness literally destroy's lives. Plain and simple bitterness is a clear & open invitation for the enemy to occupy space in your heart. You can only get better in the battle if you're willing to give God your spirit of heaviness in exchange for his garment of praise. So ladies are you ready to let go, & let God?
Here are some scriptures that relate to bitterness & then we're going to focus on the better. The victory, that is. Now that is where it gets real good!
"See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled."
"Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
So lets talk about the victory. I think the ability to win the battle comes once you realize that the battle really isn't yours it's God's. There are some battles that don't require your own personal strength & might. But instead they require your faith. Your faith to be still & know that he is God. Your faith to be able to stand still & see the salvation of the Lord. So why not enjoy life in the meantime while you wait on him to handle his business. But let me say this, you can't just be idly standing by while waiting. You need to be working on yourself & building your relationship with God until he shows up, until the battle is won. But certainly bitterness in your heart is not the way to go. I know it isn't always easy, God never promised that it would be. But he does promise to be with you every step of the way. Just hold on, your "better" is right around the corner you mighty woman of God! Victory awaits you on the other side of your tears.
2 Chronicles 20:17
"Ye shall not need to fight in this battle. Set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Fear not, nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord will be with you."
"Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth."
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
