In all of the hustle & bustle of life as we strive to get to our destination, we often forget to celebrate the journey.
Truthfully speaking, isn't that really what life is all about? Each new day on the horizon gives us an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of life itself & all of the lovely experiences (memories) that come along with it.
One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 118:24. I love it because it really does remind us to enjoy & to appreciate each new day. Every time we inhale & exhale what a privilege that is. That truly is the gift & it is the culmination of all our days combined that make up our life's journey.
"This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it."
It really is the small nuances in life that matter. And when we think about the creator, the source of life, that alone should bring our hearts joy. We usually complain about life when things don't match our expectation. But the journey isn't about what we have in mind, but instead what he had in mind when he created us. That's what makes it so special because each new day we get to discover more & more of his divine plan. Check out this scripture. This is one of my favorites as well.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
It appears based upon the scripture above that God already has our journey's mapped out from start to finish. So why not sit back, relax, & enjoy the ride? Besides, the destination isn't all that important when you consider who's behind the wheel. If we trust him as most of us profess that we do, then this makes life that much easier to navigate.
So there you have it. The road to Heaven just got simpler. As long as we celebrate the journey here on Earth, they tell me Heaven is a piece of cake. Why wouldn't it be when the streets are paved in gold? That's a no brainer. It is my hope that your days on Earth be just as rich & bountiful. As you count your many blessings each step of the way.
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
