I felt compelled to speak on courage this week. Not exactly sure why, but perhaps God knew that someone out there needed to hear these words today. So as usual I am obedient to his command knowing that him prompting me to speak on this topic is no mistake. I pray that whatever fiery trial that you may be facing in your life that God will give you power, love, & a sound mind to stand in the midst of adversity & ultimately overcome it. For he has simply not given you the spirit of fear. I don't care how hot the flames appear, you're more than a conqueror! And don't you ever forget it.
1 Peter 4:12-13
"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in as much as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed."
"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."
I am sorry to tell you however, that timidity just won't cut it though. At some point we all must face our fears. But rest assured that God has got you covered. There's no reason to be afraid because there is absolutely nothing you can't handle. So keep your head held high, because you're more than equipped to defeat your giant.
God would never put an obstacle in front of you that he would not give you the strength & power to overcome. That's just not how he rolls. But he will occasionally see if you're courageous enough to stand tall in a scary situation. And trust him regardless of how bleak that situation may appear to be.
He needs to know that no matter what, you'll put your faith in him. Trust me, I've found myself in some dicey situations on numerous occasions. But I'm still here to speak about it. My point being, that whatever it was that I was facing it didn't take me out because God ultimately has the last say so. So be encouraged my friend. Just know that the same God that caused David to defeat Goliath; kept Shadrach, Meshach, & Abednego from being consumed by the fire; and saved Daniel in the lions den is the same God that's with us today. And just in the knick of time as always, he'll come to your rescue & make a way for you to escape!
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
