So I wanted to do something in honor of Fathers across the globe since yesterday was Fathers Day. But this is really just an overall salute to the upstanding guys out there who hustle & grind day in & day out. Who make it there business to handle "their business" making this world a better place to live, Father or not.
I chose the title "Man Down" because typically when you hear this term you think about a fallen soldier or someone who has been wounded in combat. But for today's post specifically I'll be using it in a little different context. I wanna touch on the subject of men's wounded souls & there ability to "man down". That is, get down on their knees before their Heavenly Father & hand him their broken hearts.
Of course ladies we all know that men generally suffer in silence. Unfortunately that's how they're bred. They're taught as little boys that men shouldn't cry or show emotions. And as adults many have complied. I personally find it extremely sexy & very compelling when a guy gets down on his knees & cries out to God. This is complete surrender & an ultimate symbol of humility. So lets talk about humility for a moment.
I find that men relate better to facts versus the preachy, emotional stuff. So I've gathered a few solid scriptures that lay out the spirit of humility plain & simple. And I trust that God will do the rest.
"Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven."
"Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord and humility comes before honor."
"Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted."
Fella's you know that we'll stand behind you one hundred percent. In fact, we have the propensity to be your greatest cheerleaders. But sometimes your struggles & needs are beyond our scope of understanding. And that's where your Heavenly Father comes into play. He created every fiber of your being. So he gets it. He gets your struggle, he gets "you". More so than we ever will. But the question is whether or not you'll have the courage give him your heart? Here is a scripture that lets you know its completely safe to do so.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
I hope that you guys truly enjoyed this post, this was a tribute to you. We salute & honor you for all that you do! Always remember that for every wounded soul, every "man down" there is a great physician in Heaven ready to prescribe a heavy dose of unconditional love.
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
