Being used by God is an amazing feeling. But let me tell you it doesn't come without first being molded & shaped into the person that God created you to be. And that my friend doesn't come easy. But it is well worth the sacrifice.
If you are humble enough to be the clay in the potter's hand he is willing to make you into some beautiful for the entire world to see. Ultimately God gets bragging rights but what a privilege it is to be chosen. Just think of it this way. You get an opportunity to be God's personal masterpiece. How cool is that?
The reason most don't get to experience the full effect of God's touch is because most including myself, have a hard time with the molding & shaping part of the process. We want to get right to the "God use me" part without allowing the most important part to take place. God clearly instructs us not to be conformed to this world but be transformed by renewing our minds. That requires a new form or shape of thought.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is his good, pleasing and perfect will."
I've learned over the years that God is very systematic & orderly. He is not going to use you until he has fully prepared you. You just don't get to stand before the world & embarrass God it doesn't work that way. You better believe he's gonna get you in shape ahead of time. And everything he does stems from the mind. The way you think has to change & then God gets to make you into the person he envisioned from jump start.
It's almost like he creates us all jacked up purposely. So that his power can be on full display when he molds & shapes us into perfect beings. I kind of think that was his plan from the beginning. We're essentially marred clay & throughout the course of our lives he continues to mold & shape us. He absolutely loves broken vessels. That's why its so important for us to acknowledge our brokenness so that we give God something to work with. Otherwise, think about it, if we're perfect why do we need God anyway? This is a perfect process; created by a perfect God; for not so perfect beings, you and I that is. But in his hands we become flawless works of art. He is the Rembrandt of the human mind & soul. No other place I'd rather be than in the potter's hands. So that he can put me back together again.
"But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him."
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
