Do you ever wonder what God sees in us since so many of us are broken & scarred? I'm reminded of the saying "one man's trash is another man's treasure." What most deem as unusable & unworthy God sees as perfect vessels who can bring him glory & honor. It is absolutely amazing to watch the Potter at work! Shaping & molding fractured souls is his specialty. Clearly his heart is with us because we are his treasure. He'll stop at nothing to bring us to perfection. He's all about that life. That is, the lives of imperfect people.
2 Corinthians 4:7-11
"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body."
Something definitely changes once God gets a hold of your life. So don't ever discount yourself due to your imperfections. Because that's actually when God does his best work. In fact, the more fragmented you are, the better! You must learn to submit to the Potter's will & let him put you back together again. You beautiful jar of clay.
It brings God's heart joy when we become the very thing that he created us to be. But here is the fascinating part about it all. God could have easily created us as perfect beings from the start, right? He's God for crying out loud! But he chose not to, so that his power might be manifested in the Earth. How cool is that? He purposely made us flawed so that he could reveal himself as the Almighty one. Bottom line, this thing called life is all about him. It's all for his glory & honor.
1 Timothy 1:17
"All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen."
So check this out... This is a little off subject but I'm using it to bring things full circle. You do realize that Jesus could have saved Lazarus from dying, right? But Jesus was in straight chill mode while Mary & Martha were wigging out. And then to make matters worse Mary was supposed to be his homegirl. I mean she did hook a brother up by washing his feet with her hair. They were ticked off because he promised them that their brother's sickness wouldn't end in death. Jesus showed up four days later & Lazarus had already checked out. There was no sense of urgency on his part because he knew that God was going to raise him from the dead. They thought his death was the end, but Jesus knew ahead of time that it was only the beginning. It would precede the miracle, the Resurrection!
So here it is people....God uses the most unlikely methods, people, & circumstances to get his point across at times. I'm saying all of that to say this. Those deemed as trash by the world's standard are treasures in God's eyes. They say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." So ladies I encourage you today to embrace your flaws. You really are a gem, baby girl! At least that's how your Heavenly Father views you. So you had better believe it, walk in it, & cherish it because it's the truth. No greater love than a man lay down his life for his fellow man. I'm so thankful that God sees us as worthy & beautiful even in all of our mess. He thought enough of you & me to redeem us from the perils of life.
As you go forward in your daily journey I extend love & peace to each of you. I pray that you find your "it" and that you OWN IT. That the chains of this world be broken off of you & that you walk in the light that God intended you to walk in.
With dedication & servitude
